Patricia Martins is a warm and compassionate Portuguese speaking psychologist based in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated in Brazil in 2011 and has been working in the mental health field since then. Patricia has been running her clinic in Melbourne since 2015, mostly working with immigrants who are adjusting to the challenges that often emerge when moving countries. She has a special interest in working with emotional distress and anxiety.
Patricia is a person-centred therapist, who provides a wide range of techniques to support her clients – from psychodynamic approaches, such as Analytical (Jungian) Psychology and ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy), to evidence-based techniques, such as CBT and Schema Therapy. She is able to adjust her knowledge accordingly to the client she is seeing.
Patricia is open to supervision of counsellors with interest in psychodynamic approaches.
